Are you worried about your parents losing social security?

I'm worried about myself getting it but I don't think boomers stole anything. My parents - who are older than boomers - would be ok without SS. (Knock wood.) I don't know if I will be.

Anyway!

Many boomers have not received any SS benefits. Boomers have paid for your parents' and grandparents' benefits. Are your parents not on Medicare? That is also on the chopping block soon.

I'm worried that there will be a disruption to payments with all of the staffing cuts. That will be a big problem for my mom. She was about to pay off a loan and I advised her to hang on to her cash for the next few months.

Trump has always said he wanted to get rid of SS. Having homeless old people on the street is not a good look for America especially old vets. A lot of people are living on SS only.

There should lots of room for them, and food, in all the freebie hotels in NY and Boston once those are emptied.

I told my mom to anticipate disruptions and delays in payments and to make sure she has enough other cash funds to pay bills. I do anticipate a disruption and I’m hoping that millions of angry seniors will finally cause congress to grow a spine.

This should be printed out and hung up at any MAGA hang out.

THEY DON'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT YOU.

Congress is giving up their power to get what they want.

They are letting Trump and Musk do the dirty work.

Notice the directive for Republicans to eliminate town hall meetings where voters can air their grievances.

Not concerned at all. This is what they voted for.

That's mistake #1 assuming it was going to be there for you in the first place.

Fine, but that is not Trump and Musk's decision.

Let the chicken livered Congressmen put their name down as the ones who killed Social Security.

Whether you think SS should be reduced/changed, the way in which it is being done it wrong. That is the key. So don't just keel over and say oh well I knew it wasn't going to be there. They are ROBBING from you through unorthodox channels. That is the issue.

I assumed we wouldn't be getting it way before Trump took office.

Sure, I'm a troll if that's what you need to tell yourself to make you feel better.

They're not going to take it away from current beneficiaries. Can you imagine the uproar?

My parents (big savers) will be fine, but I'm worried about myself.
