Greece for Spring Break with Kids?

Sounds like a nightmare. Such a shorttrip has nothing to do with "immerse into other culture", the only thing that will remain is your huge CO2 emissions.

Nafplio is great. If ferries are running you can do a dat trip to spetses and hydra islands.
Monemvasia is a cool castle. It would be an agressive day trip from Nafplio but you could book a cave room for the night.

We did Crete plus Athens for spring break in April and it was amazing. In Crete we went to Chania, rethymno, Knossos, imbros gorge, elafonisi beach

Not to hijack, but this is what we are thinking for this spring. Would you recommend where you stayed? Particularly in Crete - there seem to be a few towns/cities and I am not sure the best base location. we would want to snorkel/scuba dive.

We were in Chania for three nights and Heraklion for three nights. (You can take a bus from one to the other.) For snorkeling, we took a day trip to Falasarna beach.

The prices are way better in Spring, I can tell you that. But I just wanted to suggest not flying RT if you are going to an island (Santorini likely the only one "open" in Spring). We flew to Santorini, then home from Athens for about the same price as RT Athens.

What does RT mean?

Do you have direct flight to Athens? Have you looked at the flight options for the islands? The flight time can be brutal for a short trip.

Most of the mythology sites are on the mainland FYI.

We are going for two weeks next month on extended spring break. DD is 9. Last year she loved Paris and France. I worry that she will have ruins fatigue in Greece and want more urban time since she loved Paris. We're doing Napflio, Delphi, Athens, Naxos, and possibly Santorini.
