When will Americans stop sitting politely and watching all of this unfold? We just sit and allow unidentified men accountable to no one drag off a citizen for speaking their disagreement at a town hall? Why didn't anyone else help her?

I’m an older woman and I am furious at what I saw in the video! First, why didn’t anyone stand up and help the woman who was being dragged out?!!! She wasn’t the only one yelling out things and she didn’t say anything terrible. Who were the guys that dragged her out and why did they come prepared with zip ties?! This is assault. If they were LEO on duty, they should have worn uniforms or shown their badges. MAgA are straight up thugs.

Oh stop it Lib. That woman was RUDE. She showed no respect for the speakers on stage and deserved to get mocked and booted out. I wish the security guy had just put her in a headlock and dragged her out of there. Idaho judges would have thrown out her lawsuit because she’s just so obnoxious.

…and you wonder why no one cares when cops get targeted?

I bet this person has a thin blue line flag and a cop fetish.

Frankly(as shon in the last election) right extremism is slightly more palatable to independants/middlers than left extremism. To win them back and gain ground with more liberal republicans, Democrats need to move Back to the Middle. Be the party of common sense responsible government.

Just because you love fascism doesn’t mean that centrist democrats heed to court them.

Every thread on here confirms that we Democrats don't believe that our popularity has ebbed much since 2008.

We can't learn, and we can't change, so we've pinned our hopes on...Trump becoming unpopular?

He beat the Bushes, he beat the Clintons, he beat the Bidens. He set records for most votes ever gotten by any Republican Presidential candidate in history in both 2020 and 2024. But surely the American people will soon embrace the disliked Democrats out of...anti-Trumpism?

I read that they were deputies, but they sure didn’t identify themselves as such or show ID. I think that a lot of people look forward to knowing their names.

What that is, I don't know, and apparently neither do Democrats yet.

The GOP was in this position for a long time. Apparently the "something more" they had to offer was Trump and his clown car. However the Dem party reinvents itself, it won't involve a populist leader who leads a cult.

Most people are not well informed or critical thinkers and have short memories.

All Dems have to do is learn to message like the GOP. Just without the lies. But they have to lean into the exaggeration of emotion. It's what these voters respond to. People want reality gameshows. Give it to them. Just use it to put the country back together instead of this authoritarian poopshow.

If you're a Democrat, I'm a porcupine.

No. Dems need to weaponize the discontent they way the GOP does. We have to out-propaganda them. It's unsavory, but true.

The general public is as fickle as it is dumb. Trump's ratings will continue to go south.

Exactly. These are his honeymoon numbers… and they are terrible.

You don’t get to shut down discussion with the hecklers veto. Glad she was removed.

That's not how town halls work. The speakers were cowardly, which is unsurprising given the message they were trying to defend.

My guess is that half of that room enjoyed watching her “get what she deserved.” The other half may have been afraid to get shot.

I know that I wouldn’t be able to fight off those three assaulters by myself. I am 5’3 and weigh 111 wet. My inclination would have been to surprise the awful man on stage, grab his mic to distract the nazis making the “citizens arrest,” and to draw attention away from the poor woman getting dragged around by weak bullies who can’t handle simple questions.

They're all claiming ignorance now.

"Kootenai County Republican Central Committee Chair Brent Regan said the group’s legislative committee arranged security for the event but said he didn’t know what company they selected. He said he expected Kootenai County Sheriff Bob Norris to have the details."

"Norris told The Press he came to the legislative town hall to lead the Pledge of Allegiance but remained onsite after because of “an active threat on a legislator and his family.”

He maintained that he didn’t know which company provided security for the event and said he knew nothing about the security arrangements.

“I did not contract with the security company,” he said. “I didn’t have anything to do with the security detail.”

Norris denied giving the unidentified, plainclothes security personnel any direction as they removed Post Falls resident Teresa Borrenpohl from the auditorium and detained her.

Video recordings from the event show Norris approached Borrenpohl as she heckled the legislators and told her to leave. Norris then took Borrenpohl’s arm with both hands and attempted several times to pull her out of her seat."

https://cdapress.com/news/2025/feb/22/town-hall-security-detail-remains-mystery/

It’s not a good look for him either way: He didn’t have anything to do with the security arrangements, but, as a law enforcement officer, failed to step in to stop an illegal arrest of a citizen OR he aided and abetted the illegal arrest. Neither way is a win.

Will she sue? Hope ACLU or someone else steps in and takes this case.

I know it’s beating a dead horse but he should really get on top of the egg problem. Every time anyone steps into the grocery store they are getting slapped in the face by inaction and I imagine it’s starting to anger restaurant owners. If the economy turns sour, the tune is going to change.

They literally fired the teams working on this.
The fact that dems are screaming about this 24/7 … ugh. I just can’t.
