It’s idiotic to post on the WH account but I’m far more concerned about Musk’s involvement with our government, climate change & the environment, oligarch bros and cozying up to Putin.

It usually refers to sensory videos that are supposed to be soothing. Usually it’s some weirdo with creepy, long nails whispering. People get off on stuff like this now. |
there is nothing wrong with deporting people. there is something wrong with humiliating them. |
Good call! And, yes, to pp to show it to our kids. This is how sick we are. |
Yes, everyone who has kids knows what this means. Google. |
You don't think the throwing of handcuffs and chains on the ground was mocking. Showing people walking in chains was mocking? WTAF. The sound was ASMR. That in and of itself, was mocking. |
There are also ASMR videos for children that involve things like slime and kinetic sand. If you haven’t heard of asmr, I can understand why you aren’t as alarmed by the video. Watch it with volume up and then watch an asmr slime video with volume up. Then you will get it. The point if the video is that they think the sights and sounds of people being deported is soothing, satisfying, and relaxing. |
It’s a little early to be pushing for satire of the year. |
careful, your utter and complete lack of moral high ground is starting to really show. |
And regardless of the technicalities of what ASMR is and isn't, the official White House account participating in any sort of social media trend (which are inherently meant to be light, fun entertainment) with a video related to deportation is simply revolting levels of amorality. |
You are too clueless to understand why an asmr video about deporting people is completely inappropriate. |
from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ASMR An autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR)[2][3][4] is a tingling sensation that usually begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine. A pleasant form of paresthesia,[5] it has been compared with auditory-tactile synesthesia[6][7] and may overlap with frisson.[8] ASMR is a subjective experience of "low-grade euphoria" characterized by "a combination of positive feelings and a distinct static-like tingling sensation on the skin". It is most commonly triggered by specific auditory stimuli, and less commonly by intentional attention control.[1][9] The term ASMR can also refer to media (usually audiovisual) meant to evoke this phenomenon, with the sensation itself being informally referred to as "tingles". So, basically, this official white house tweet is xbro speak for "this cruelty gave me goosebumps" (in a good way). See also the pp who faps to this. |
This is what happens when we glorify and celebrate "who's gonna stop me?" culture. We gave up self-control and self-discipline in favor of convenience and clickbait. We are a nation of tech addicts, and this is our rock bottom. Good luck with the detox. If you're still on X, FB, insta, etc., you're still hooked. |
They should just post a straight up message that says the White House does not take this country seriously so neither should anyone else. |
This is sick.
I assume Stephen Miller posted it. I consider him the sickest of the bunch. |
