I would also have her think about whether the curriculum she will be asked to teach is one she can stomach teaching. DOD schools, as part of the federal government, will almost certainly see drastic restrictions on what teachers can teach.

Service members go where assigned.
Civilian contractors have a choice.
If that's her choice she should be current on HPV vaccine, bring birth control and condoms.

My friends were stationed there. It is a very close knit community. They did like that part. Their son was in middle school and had a great group of friends, even though it seemed to change regularly / frequently.

The flights are limited and difficult, even for the military stationed there.

You can't leave the base to see Cuba.
