Yes. Thankfully we live super close to the airport and DH would be home if he needed to come grab us with delays or something. Unfortunately I don't drive so we can't split the drive

Your not driving is a key fact, though your DH sounds prepared to do that on his own, so not necessarily essential.

Who's going to get you at the destination?

Either my SIL or my in laws. I can also request a car service with car seat and we have friends in the Rea with babies in a pinch.

I would never fly, and never did fly, with a child in my lap. Safety first.

OP is going direct from her home airport to somewhere she has family/friends. She's not going to be stuck in an airport for days. It always makes sense to have extra everything when you have a baby but she's not going to be stranded somewhere.

Flying one round trip with a baby in your lap is statistically safer than multiple road trips with a car seat. Math first.
