London itinerary

What time of year? Buckingham Palace is open for tours to the public in the summer and select days throughout the year.

It was certainly our most memorable part of our London trip.

Also, see Matilda- perfect for that age. Get the west end music ahead of time so they are familiar with it. Show is charming (Kate Ainsley narrates audiobook - brilliant).

I could have written this. We did both of these (with Lawrence, even) and the kids loved it. They also really loved the Harry Potter Studio Tour (a bit outside of London but we took the train and made it a day trip) and the Imperial War Museum. The Tower was good but very crowded.

Oh, and we also explored Selfridges (it was Easter time and they did an egg hunt for the kids with a chocolate reward, which was very fun), and we did a speedboat Tour of the Thames. We wandered around Covent Garden and spent time watching the street performers. Also did Hop on/Hop off that included a boat tour the first day, when we were jet lagged. Also saw Wicked. It was such a great trip. I recommend all of it.
