Does everyone ED? Stories of successful RD?

Neither of my kids did ED, but then they weren't trying to necessarily go to the highest ranked school possible. But both did fine in RD relative to their stats.

3 out of 4 of my kid's T10 admits were RD. The other one was EA.

WL to the 4 other T20s. All in the RD round as well. Did not take a WL spot as he was accepted already to his top choice.

Not sure why they are hating on you. If you have a top choice, no reason not to ED unless you want to wait for first semester grades if you need a boost. My DC was an ED to UVA and happy as can be do be accepted and happy to not have to worry about going to a school that was not first choice.
