Principal is bullying a kid? How?

OP’s kid probably misbehaved and got disciplined and OP has confused this with bullying

Oh yes because the principal always makes the right decisions

Do you all have experience where the PTA Pres would not know the name? I also would assume the PTA would be a resource for advocating if needed to address an issue with the Principal. Is this not true at your schools? Not picking a fight, just curious.

No, the opposite. Most PTAs are in cahoots with principals.

See this as an example: https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/education/what-really-happens-when-parents-clash-with-their-childrens-school/2017/02/05/4d8437d0-e9d6-11e6-bf6f-301b6b443624_story.html

Nah, in cahoots with themselves. Agreeing with the Principal is a coincidence.

Be mindful that this information is available to admins staff so try to careful about the accusations. Keep everything fact based. Include your child’s name. The reason this is important is because it heightens the confidentiality of the communication for privacy reasons and public disclosure purposes. If you don’t get a response within a week, then you escalate. However, please make sure your allegations are substantiated, such as through previous emails to the principal outlining your concerns. Otherwise, you’re likely to get dismissed.

OP. These people are gaslighting you.

Filing a CFP, talking with the Principal's Supervisor, PTA are all dead ends. Anything run through the school you can expect to get derailed.

The only things that get traction with MCPS are going to the press, filing with the Office of Inspector General or filing a court case at District Court.

If you're not willing to do that, consider your options carefully. Good luck!

Huh. I've managed to get a principal's supervisor to rule in our favor and order things changed for my child. So I wouldn't say that that is a dead end at all.

Bullying is a continuous behavior, not a one off.

Believe me, a principal has the ability to make a child’s life extremely difficult if they choose to, as long as they remain in a position of authority.

This was our experience.

Just in general, the ask of the PTA pres. may open your family up to gossip. Our PTA loved our principal.

Bye, Joel! Mr. Beidleman, where are you working these days?

A Change.org petition is another tool that has been used to raise awareness.

I think his trying to have sex with his teachers did not have any correlation with bullying the kids.

We all understood the similarity between keeping quiet in the face of misuse of power.
All of us except you, that is.

Is there anyone at school who may have had a similar experience? Would you be able to speak with the AP? Does your child's teacher recognize any changes when your child returns from the principal's office? How many times has this occurred?
