THIS POLICY DOES NOT EXIST ANYMORE.

But as usual, MCPS-bashing attracts a whole lot of people who just pile on, not caring one bit whether what they're saying is true or not.

Multiple people in this thread are stating its still in place with some teachers or admin at their schools.

The policy was adjusted but not completely and with consistency and clarity, which is the point of the article, which you clearly didn't read.

There is still a conflict of interest when admin misreport or under report violence to make themselves look good as a school without violence. Also, they mis/nonreport racist incidents and classroom behavior that inhibits learning. Because these people are the same ones that make teacher appraisals there seems to be a conflict of interest that puts all the blame on teachers for societal and systemic issues as they have the biggest unbalance of low pay and extremely high responsibility and also no real power to enforce consequences that fit the crimes. That is the admin job but they neglect without plans of action to support teachers who suffer in silence.

You mean the trolls?
Obviously, you're probably one of them since you don't even know, but keep repeating the falsehood.

Everyone else is lying except for you, the arbiter of truth.

Troll, take a look in the mirror.

Even if a school has a policy it still does not make it protected to follow the rules bc in a corrupt organization all rules and laws go out the window for the people in power. It's a crap shoot and they will put it back on the teachers if teachers open their blabber mouths in fear/ intimidation.
