It’s all a choice. Stop complaining about things that are entirely within your control.

MLS Next, ECNL, GA, NA and ECNLR all travel. The first two travel more, as this is expected. If you are not willing to travel, then don't commit.

Are you saying the far traveling makes sense when there are multiple competitive teams within an hour or less of each other?

It is very simple. If you do not want to travel, don't join a travel team.

MLS Next travels a lot. However, this year the league is actually making effort for teams to spend the weekend playing the away teams to eliminate all the driving back and forth.

Also, if you weren't such a jack maybe you can find other teammates that would be willing to carpool with.

It's objectively bad for the environment, travel, communities, neighborhoods, etc.

We only do one tournament a season if that. What's wrong with one weekend trip to VA Beach? It's fun. We just came back from a tournament and it was the highlight of the season but it was the only away tournament this fall.

Correcting myself. We do three tournaments a season. Only one involves staying overnight in a hotel.

My favorite is traveling over 2 hours to play ONLY teams that are based less than 10 miles from you and that you play in the regular season.
