Brown does not have official sibling legacy. They overtly state that they do not. But, many sibs that apply ED, get deferred and arr accepted at a higher rate than regular admittance in RD. All Anecdotal of course because there officially is no sibling legacy. |
You're conflating acceptance rates for legacies (i.e. # legacies admitted/total legacies applied) with proportion of a class comprised by legacies (# legacies in class/total class size). Two completely different metrics. |
This has changed. We have two friends each with three kids. One family donated close to a building. The other endows two scholarships. Two of the six (very academic kids) were waitlisted. No one got in. But Brown did ask both families for more money… |
