My favorite anecdote is that the whole reason Buffet even met the guy who did the college’s investing is bc they’d both come to campus to see Martin Luther King Jr, who was giving a speech there, and whom they both admired. They got to talking, and soon after Buffet joined the board.

Yeah, “the endowment is strong bc farmers are generous” = “this is not a comment to be taken seriously.”


Right, there’s nothing a hard-working Midwestern farmer likes to do after a sweaty day in the field more than write a check to a private college so a snotty kid from New Jersey can get a degree in gender studies & be indoctrinated into Communism.
