It's the SELECTIVE focus on migrants who commit crimes that's the problem. Lots of native-born Americans do horrible things and he doesn't talk about them.

In fact, far more native-born Americans do horrible things.

Illegal immigrants commit crimes at a 60% per capita lower rate than natural born Americans. Illegal immigrants are model citizens compared to Americans, and that is an indisputable, undeniable fact. Demonizing them as "criminals" is racism, pure and simple.

What year is that stat from?

Probably all of them since there was a governmental authority to call someone “illegal.” Truly, most people who come here come here for a chance at a better life and they’re good people and they’re willing to work to get that better life.

And if Republicans want us to believe that they care about crime, they could start by getting rid of the treasonous and traitorous and rapists in their party. Like the top of their ticket, for example. If crime matters, then white collar crime matters too.

Here's a fun realization. If you didn't have 25 million illegal immigrants, you would have a 0% per capita lower rate than natural born americans. Wait, then you could devote more resources to those terrible natural born americans. Illegal immigration is a drain on every resource in the country.

But that’s not what Hair Hitler said. He dehumanized all immigrants.

The focus is on illegal immigrants because they should not be here. So the point is that the violent crimes that are being perpetrated by illegal immigrants are 100% preventable if you deport illegals (for sure those who are criminals) and stop future illegal immigration.

I think most of you know this, but you take any opportunity to scream, muh racism. The most overused word in politics.

+100
It’s a complete waste of energy trying to have any kind of rational discussion about this with Democrats. They will always, always resort to gaslighting and strawmen because they know they have no leg to stand on.

Yes, but context and truth doesn’t matter here. Just sound bites taken out of context in order to generate maximum outrage. Democrats are so stupid with their tired old playbook.

Republicans are SO stupid with their tired old playbook of divisive rhetoric. Grow up and talk like an educated adult.

Nice parroting. Very original. We’ve been trying to treat you like adults but when your side of the argument is basically, “Nuh-uh!” then we realize you’re nothing more than spoiled children. And so, that’s how you’ll be treated.

I had a naturalized citizen ask me the other day ask why Trump was as popular as he still is.

The answer is easy, a large portion of our population are low information, racists and unfortunately in this country you are still allowed to vote.

Just say you’re in favor of illegal immigration. Stop wasting everyone’s time and just admit it.

That's verrrry interesting, especially since "undocumented immigrants paid $96.7 billion in federal, state, and local taxes in 2022. Most of that amount, $59.4 billion, was paid to the federal government while the remaining $37.3 billion was paid to state and local governments."

1. Violent criminals are still human beings.

2. Funny how the guy who idiots love because he "tells it like it is" and "speaks his mind" always needs his supporters to explain away what he "really meant," and funny how what he "really meant" is always the most generous interpretation despite the racist and psychopathic interpretation always being a much more believable and plausible interpretation.

But of course that's the entire point of dog whistles. It lets deplorables hide behind the fig leaf of plausible deniability while knowing and supporting the true, despicable meaning.

DP. I stopped reading at #1. That you would rush to defend violent criminals is all I need to know.

No you didn't.

You read the whole thing and pretended you stopped at #1 because you had no response to being called out as the racist you are.

Incorrect. Anyone lecturing others about how to treat violent criminals doesn’t deserve a further look. Bye.

Here's another fun realization: our economy does somewhat rely on those illegal immigrants who work the dirty jobs, those industries that lean heavily R (farms, janitorial work, lawn care).

So, if you want to get rid of illegal immigration, a wall won't cut it because a lot of them just get work visas then over stay their visa working in those industries. You want to kick them all out? You gotta kill the demand in those industries. How to do that. Make the penalty so high that it becomes not worth it. Right now, the penalty is tiny in comparison to the profit those businesses (many owned by Rs) can make by hiring cheap labor.

But, Rs will never do this because those business owners are their voters and donors.

I don't hear Trump/Vance supporting higher penalties, do you? Of course not, because Trump's hotels even use those cheap illegal immigrant labor, as do many of his friends' businesses.

So, instead, Vance throws the boogey man out about legal Haitians living here, and like the cult members MAGA are, they lap it up.

A border wall will do nothing about the visa overstayers.

This.
It has been really sad to understand this about my compatriots. I thought we were better than this.

Discovering this back in 2016 really shook me to the core. It's depressing to know that we have so many willfully ignorant racists/misogynists living and breathing among us.

What “shakes me to my core” is knowing there are actually Americans who approve of illegal immigration. Quite astounding.

dp... one can be against illegal immigration AND not consider all illegal immigrants "not humans, and animals".

But, it does require some humanity. I get why you, Trump and the rest of MAGA don't get that.

The vast majority of Americans, even on the left, don't "approve of illegal immigration", but recognize that most of them are human beings just trying to make a better life for themselves and family.

IMO, it does "shake one to the core" to know that half of American voters would continue to vote for an insurrectionist, rapist and criminal.

Jesus loved everyone including violent criminals and that is all I need to know.

You’d be singing a very different tune if your child was raped and murdered, as we all know.

Well the person you worship has raped many women but you still love him.
