Remember the snow day video he did for Stafford.

I thought this was going to be a Taylor Swift video.

Best to laugh while Rome burns!

Exactly. One of my high school daughters core subjects doesn't have an assigned teacher but I'm really thrilled to see the time and effort put into a ridiculous song instead of fixing staffing issues. This school system is a Greek tragedy.

Lighten up. The HR department wasn't participating in the video.

Maybe if they spent more time and energy and money on things that matter (smaller class sizes and paying teachers) it would actually help our students.

Smaller class sizes isn't how you solve a staffing problem

How many weeks of teacher time would you estimate this video cost?

God I wish Taylor spent a day reading DCUM for your guiding wisdom.

I would be embarrassed to be out making you tube videos and posting on Instagram if I was in charge of HAVING ENOUGH TEACHERS FOR A SCHOOL* and I failed in that regard. These people lack any sense of shame.

Of all my complaints it was a fun cute video. But, I’d rather him focus on the real issues like the lack of qualified teachers than all the visits for media and show.

1 hour max. It was mostly kids or Admin.

Wish they put this much effort into figuring out proper bus routes!

Only a white dude could get away with something like this. Anyone else would be seen as non-serious, too lighthearted for the tough problems MCPS is facing, etc.

I don't understand how making the video takes time away from working on teacher shortage issues, bus routes, or any other thing that DCUM thinks the superintendent should be working on.

I have multiple projects going on at work that I am ultimately responsible for. I review the progress with team, delegate as necessary, and help them come up with solutions or remove roadblocks. I don't actually do any of the day to day work related to the projects.

I can carve out a few hours of my week to introduce myself to my stakeholders or boost morale. That's part of his job.

I agree with you completely. BUT I still give him props for showing a different side of himself. It gives me hope for MCPS.

But he is a democrat.

The video that I watched had many non-white participants and women throughout the entire thing. You are a hateful person.

Did he do a beat boxing lamo white guy rap? That's the best way to show minorities that you're cool.
