Why does anyone buy tickets except directly from the airline? With expedia/orbitz/etc. you often pay about $10 extra per ticket up front, PLUS you pay them an extra change fee on top of any change fees owed directly to the airline.
I use the search engines to find the best flights and then ALWAYS book directly with the airlines. I travelled extensively for work before having my kids and always had to (and preferred to) book my own travel. |
I agree with the PP. I use travelocity and expedia to find out which carriers serve a particular route non-stop, then book it direct with the airline. We have never had a problem getting seats together for our family of four. We fly a good bit.
Right. You can earn miles that way, too.
Because if you book hotel/car/flight on Expedia, you can get really good discounts.
Yeah you can get discounts all right but better check "expedia ratings" first just google it.
Never buy from Expedia again, always buy directly from the airline and confirm your seats are together next time. Expedia stinks, but you should have read the fine print before buying.
21:06 Good point but I'd read the fine print on changes, cancellation, etc., and compare creating my own package.
