Lol. You have no idea what you are talking about. |
NP. Here’s the rub. Large segments of overweight or obese people have NOT tried eating healthy or being active. Not for years and years. If ever. So this is indeed a magical and hopeful “solution” for that segment of people. They have zero intent to stick to healthy food or activity after the magical weight loss. |
They’re not fit. relative to their former dimensions and fat content they are but not physically fit. Fit implies good muscle tone and working out or high activity levels. |

I just went on tirzepatide (a compound of mounjaro). Only 1 week in but I’m loving it. I am going to weigh myself twice a week. The first four days I lost 3 lb (I dont expect to always lose that much but I am over 250, so losing more in the beginning is normal). I have never had food noise quieted like this ever. I don’t even want to eat. I don’t care about eating. You have to really prioritize protein.
I do want to come off it. I’ve always been overweight but I gained 30-40 lb during covid. I have seen friends and others use it and some keep it off. I know it will take some effort. But I need to try. It is one day at a time. |
Waahhhhhh |
I have diabetes and metformin made me violently ill. |
Who’s waaaah-ing? Lots of non fat people aren’t fit. And they know it. I’m guess if fat people lose weight they think they’re fit? Or don’t care to actually be fit, lower fat is all they care about. Who knows. I don’t care. As for Op, they sound like they’ve got more problems than just one obese spouse. I don’t think losing weight via shots will help with any mental disorders. |
+1 Metformin is working very well for me too. |
| So your husband is still going to be ADHD, just skinny. Best case he steers his focus to working out at the gym while skinny. |
| It will cut the food noise and that may help him. Let him try. |
Oh you care a LOT, lol. Waaaahhhh indeed. |
Be supportive. It could save his life. |
Where’s this? |
Indeed. OP I am not seeing a problem. He has identified a way to healthier life, why are you going on about ADHD and stims? |
Only thing I care about is hopefully less obese people around will cut down on health care costs and insurance costs for all. And provide more room next to others in airplanes, theaters, games, etc. If they want to pretend they’re cardiovascularly fit and have muscle tone with minimal activity levels and unhealthy diets, that’s on them. |
