Lexus TX tics a lot of boxes, and i understand why many would like it a lot. i'm just not a huge fan of how it looks.

Agree. We are about to buy another fully loaded minivan for under $50k. We shopped around pretty much every other option but all were smaller and/or stupid expensive. People think just because you can afford something that it’s a good value. The two are not the same. We’ve been very happy with our previous minivan and are not status conscious, so another one it is.

Which minivan are you getting?

We are sticking with Odyssey. Sienna prices are absurd and they are hard to find. 2025 Odyssey is supposed to have some updated interior tech so that is our current plan. Not interested in Kia or Chrysler.

The Honda's are nice but depending on how long you intend to keep it, make sure you set aside $5k for a transmission re-build.

I don't know if you'd consider it "luxury", but I love my Volvo XC90 - so much so that I'm on my second one. So many conveniences, very safe, very comfortable, very roomy.

It’s hideous and Lexus just isn’t luxury. It’s a Toyota. Sorry.

Is it rolls Royce or peasantville for you?

Lexus and infinity I would consider their cars for last 5-10 years on par with bmw and Mercedes.
Acura not so much.

The highlander does NOT feel like a Lexus. It’s a fine car, but it drives like a truck and isn’t smooth like my Lexus at all

Pallisade and telluride didn’t feel luxurious to me at all.

I guess it’s subjective.

This hasn't been a major issue with honda for at least 15 years. We're on our second Odyssey without any issues. I would be much more worried in a Kia or Chrysler.

Beg to differ, which is why I mentioned the Platinum or Limited version. They have an upgraded suspension and interior. Check them out.

We test drove both. TX is a lot quieter and nicer on the inside than the Grand Highlander. Whether that's worth 12-15k is subjective.
