+100 any outfit, even khakis and a polo, can look well styled or sloppy depending on the pieces. Even among golf wear it can be frumpy or fashionable. But generally, I let my husband be unless he asks my opinion or I think he might be embarrassed. And for other people, I try not to judge, though I do think in general (white) American culture tends toward a lot more frumpiness/lack of style than other groups. |
I really hate that you’re making me defend men but this is so stupid and unreasonable. They’re just supposed to wear pants all the time…? |
Golf and sexy have no business in the same sentence. |
Yes? Unless they're at a pool, on vacation, or in a gym or jogging. The overwhelming majority of men look dorky as hell in shorts, even "nice" $100 shorts from Brooks Brothers or whatever. It's just not a good look. |

Nice pants and a nice quarter zip can be handsome, at least. Shorts, a golf polo, and those dorky golf caps with the huge logos is so dorky. |
pleated khaki's are terrible. flat front not so bad. |
No, they do not. |
Agree, OP. I was thinking this last night when I saw an older man in khaki-style shorts and a polo and thought, he'd look so much better in linen pants. |
Summer pants aren't sweltering. In many hot weather countries men do not wear shorts. |
Lol, so bad past age 25. |
oop just got my BF some dark khaki cargo shorts lol. I like the way he looks in them and they're now his fave thing to wear now. He's a 6'3" stocky dude. |
But they are kinda long and hit just under his knees.....from Ecko. |
