I love both the cabbage slaw recipes in the original Thug Kitchen/Bad Manners cookbook:

We just finished our St. Patrick's Day cabbage, finally. I made cole slaw to go with some smoked pulled pork. As old as it was, it made a tender and mild flavored cole slaw. Very nice.

Of course, you need the space to store it until you can finish it. But it keeps super well.

Cabbage steaks! It’s a bit hot to turn on the oven, but if that doesn’t bug you then go for it! I brush them with oil and curry powder then make a sauce with chickpeas and cherry tomatoes in a skillet to go over the steaks

Do you have a recipe for the chickpeas and tomatoes?

We like to cook cabbage steaks on the grill.

Cabbage soup stays in freezer for ever and so good with ground beef o4 ground trurkeyb or chicken
