Potomac ECNL coach out

Anonymous
I am agree that it is never nice to think or talk about specific kids. And never nice when someone loses their employment. But maybe the club is doing something good by dealing with some issues instead of ignoring them like most of the time. This coach I found in the past difficult to deal with and not very helpful. Maybe the club and the director also sees the same now. We left Potomac but I hope now the club has a very good future in the ECNL leagues because it has been obviously not very good so far.

Without mentioning specific kids, it should be noted that an 09 RL keeper has been to asked to play with the NL team this weekend.

Well there you have it.

I flipped through ESPN2, ESPN3, and so on, and finally found it on ESPN5001z

When look at social posts you see that Potomac have upgraded lots of coaching posts now. Looks previous regime don’t agree and new director take this opportunity to make big change to improve.

What's the upgrade elements
Coaching licenses & experience?

PP must have meant update, not upgrade. Not sure if this is autocorrect gone amuck or not a native English speaker.

Maybe it’s a software upgrade

FWIW I would suspect this is coming from above with the director The existing ECNL teams were basically cut in half, most players either got notification to attend the general tryout or already got a letter not to come back... Pretty telling about the selection process of their grand ECNL identification sessions that lasted literally months last spring. Sounds like they don't know how to properly roster and do evaluations. And just heard the 2011 NCSL team is being gutted because they want the "3 team" to be on the level of their RL team in an EDP1 or 2 division. I think PSA is having an identity crisis and might I add, making a mess of the process. Good luck but also, can't wait to see what comes of this

Huh? That makes no sense.
They just started ECNL last year, so they're still working hard to recruit and add better players to the program. It's not something that happens overnight. And when you add a lot of outside players, everythings drifts downstream and the lower teams get players from the higher teams.
If Potomac wanting to improve to be one of the top programs in the area constitutes an identity crises, I guess you're right though.

I think they botched their own tryout process this year. Moved too slow, too many callbacks and ID Sessions and no defining vision on how to move fwd. The ceiling for the club and its players is to play HS soccer. They really believe that is worthwhile. No thanks.

Your comment then seems to make every ECNL team at the ceiling of playing high school soccer, because they all play high school soccer.

I guarentee you there isn't one person involved in the club that believes that. Clearly, they're ambitious, or wouldn't have bothered with ECNL in the first place.
They fired their ECNL director, so they'll obviously not happy with how their first season went, but we'll see going forward how they did with this years' tryouts.
