I’m offended. Should I get over myself?

OP are you like this all the time? Whew.

I would never in a million years let a 13 year old babysit my kids. I can't imagine what would possess anyone to do this. I think it's beyond weird you are offended that someone does not want your child, a child, to babysit their child.

Yeah, obviously parents should be totally comfy leaving their most precious belonging with someone barely out of childhood.

I agree.

Why is this offensive? This family doesn’t even know your daughter! Personally I have never hired sitters under 18 though I would consider a younger mother’s helper.

+1

We use at least college age sitters. We have some HS neighbors who babysit and I haven’t felt comfortable using them. Maybe when they’re older, but I have 3 and the oldest is 8. I want an adult who can drive in case of an emergency.
