NYC is 80 percent back in office!

80% of the time. Big banks say everyday but with tracking (yes, they are tracking) they want to see employees in the office at least 80% - or 4 out of 5 days.

We have a 3 day in office policy, with tracking, and our DC office compliance is hovering around 40%. NY is a little better, but it’s still only 60% or so.

Most people go in, but only 1x-2x per week.

This does not include staff/admins. I don’t know what they do.

Can you imagine how sad and pathetic someone’s life must be to care about where other people work?? I pray for you.

My small nonprofit is two days a week in office with no plans to increase in-office days. It’s easier to attract talented people for job openings—we get crazy numbers of people applying for good jobs when they come open.

Because major cities are sliding down the tubes w/o people working in them to drive the economy.

This. Mind your own business. I’m not RTO just to satisfy my. OSS or to prop up the local potbelly’s. Sorry.

DC has always been super lazy next to NYC.

I worked at Fannie pre Covid and we had people in Richmond, NYC, Philly and NJ working there. They come in late on Monday and leave work 4ish on Thursday and WFH on Friday.

My boss lived in NJ and took Amtrak in Monday arrived around 11 am and took Amtrak home Thursday on the 4ish train.

If Chase or Goldman it be 8 am Monday to 6 pm Friday in office so none of this goofing off.

Well last week I got the highest rating my boss who works five days in office, we can work from home 1 day a week.

I did not work from home at all. My coworker did one at a week and took a 20 percent haircut on raise and bonus and was pissed.

I don’t think wfh days should count in raise or bonus calculator.

I worked 5 days in office since 2021 and got laid off last year.

Also, people have smaller homes in nyc. No space to WFH with young kids and nanny bouncing around

I lived in NY most of life never met anyone with a Nanny.

I will never return to an office for butt in seat time. Bosses are distributed across the US. The juice isn’t worth the squeeze.

It depends where you live. I was a nanny in NYC and they seemed to be everywhere.
