DS won’t stop intentionally farting

I know we have time to help course correct and farting is one part of a bigger issue but how do I at least get him to stop farting around the house intentionally. I know it’s not a big deal in the long run, but to me it feels like one piece of a much bigger problem (which we are working on).

Sounds about age appropriate. Ignore him no matter what happens. Roll the window down and keep driving. I know it’s easier said than done. Reacting makes it worse. Mom of 16 year old boy.

I think most kids at school have learned the art of "crop dusting" the hallway or a classroom which is far more discrete. So they will do it at school, just incognito.

Not true. When I was a 12 year old boy i learned how to relax that area of my body and intentionally suck air up in there in order to force back out farts basically on demand. Used to disgust my parents with it constantly.

Actually, the fun of it directed at parents never really goes away. I'm grinning remembering the last time I visited my boomer parents and blew up their bathroom to the point the smell horrified my father. I spent the weekend playing That Smell by lynyrd skynyrd as a reminder.

You sound fun at parties. Sure, I'm trashy, but if you met me in real life, you'd think I was uptight and shy and polite. Still going to joke around about farting in the privacy of my home with my college educated family, some of whom might be your pediatrician or veterinarian.
