I see one club has its lower level team in a higher division. Presumably they were properly placed, and then one got relegated while the other was promoted. |
What are you talking about? |
There is no SFL any more. You registered with your local rec soccer league. Are you saying you haven't heard from them regarding your coach or team assignment yet? You should have. Games start the first week of April. Supposedly. |
Looking at the divisions, in a particular age group. One club has its C team in a lower division than its D team. |
I haven't heard from the club after I signed up for its SFL team, now NCSL-R. |
| You should reach out to the registration person for your org. Sometimes coaches get bad contact info. I can't imagine there is a rec league that hasnt sent out their team lists by now. |
If a team is in a higher division, it is the de facto "C" team and the other team is the D team. By definition. Which club/teams? |
This is why having 10 divisions per year is silly. The rec side is going to have just 1-2 divisions for three years combined age groups. Feel like neither approach is ideal. |
|
Just jumping in to also complain about the lack of schedule. SFL would have already had it published. Come on, our age group usually only has one division. How hard can it be? Demosphere automatically does the scheduling and scheduling is basically the only job the NCSL has for the rec side, they aren't staffing the games with referees or doing anything else.
Travel games start the SAME DAY but their schedules have been out for weeks. It shows a disregard for rec side customers. |
This whining complaining is why SFL quit. Be grateful NCSL picked it up or you’d have nothing. |
|
They are following their own posted calendar.
https://www.ncsl-soccer.com/recreation/spring-2024-calendar You won't see a schedule until March 29 |
WTF?? That's THE DAY BEFORE games start and well after our rec league publishes our schedule, making it impossible to work out the scheduling for coaches with more than one team. |
Its a lucrative business. They picked it up to make money, not out of altruism. They had no problems getting the travel schedules out weeks before the games started and those are much more complicated. |
| According to the calendar matches start the weekend of April 6 |
They will have sent a draft schedule to the clubs to work out conflicts and check field availability but that should have happened already. They think its acceptable to publish the game schedule to customers the day before the games start? Can you imagine the drama if they tried that with the travel side? |
