Dog greets me at the door EVERY TIME

My parents dog does this to me. Sometimes she does it after being outside for 10 min. She has designated me as one of her people and I love it.

Pp about parents dog here. My cat does this too. Every day she’s at the door meowing when I get home from work 🤗🤗

This. No matter what I do or don't do, my dog loves me. I love how excited she gets when she sees me. You can train yours not to jump.

Every time I feel bad about myself, my day, whatever, I am so grateful for my pets who are just so happy to be with me.

No, they never stop greeting you at the door. It's wonderful. We greet them with that much enthusiasm, too. We are so lucky to get to live with these wonderful creatures.

Are we the only ones with a dog that doesn’t greet us at the door?

If one of us is away on work travel, then that person gets the door greet with full wiggle butt upon returning. Otherwise, our lazy hound might sometimes raise an eyebrow from where she’s napping, but that’s all the greeting we get.

What you have is definitely not to the norm in my experience
My dog greets me whenever I come home. Even if I've only been out for 10 minutes.
