Only those with non-bargaining positions

This is not true--Trump can and likely will move a huge number of bargaining positions (anything that could be argued to have any policy influence) to schedule F.

This. Trump has shown complete disregard for union contracts. Union contracts are only enforceable if the FLRA will enforce them. Guess who gets to appoint the FLRA members?

Also, many offices, including mine and my husband's, require you reside within a 50 mile radius. The reason for this, even for telework, is that more than that they technically are required to pay for your commute, and will not do it. So you could get a job offer, get an exception (for example, finishing out the school year), but would be expected to move. If not, you would basically be committing fraud. I would not do this. Your only option for federal employment above board is to move to the area, or really get a remote job with a remote duty station (that can be pulled at any point if they are willing to pay a relocation fee).

This is really stupid. Who cares if someone wants to live 75 miles away and commute twice per pay period? Why wouldn't agencies just provide an opt-out waiver to the employee that relieves the agency of the commuting cost?

Some teams (like cyber) have to do forensic work or be available for continuity of services.

This is not true Trump was trying to move govt agencies out of DC because he hates DC for not voting for him. He was trying to move some to the middle of nowhere.

He’s not sending us back in for SC to make money.

Moving agencies out of DC is what I expect will happen

Pointless deficit spending.

At my agency you have to be fully remote (and get paid the location pay for the area you live in) or live within the DC pay area and come in 2 days a pay period. You can't live out of the DC area, get DC area pay and do your own transportation to meet the in office requirement. But I'm very concerned the 2 days a pay period requirement will change under Biden and Trump - so yeah don't assume what is the requirement now will stay that way.

Hard to get enough time on the prison phone for this
