How many kids are they bumping down/cutting to make room? We were at a club where 11 kids were cut from the top team.

The fix is usually in when TD reverses coach picks for favors owed to others. You won’t know right away. I’ve seen a list of coach picks and then those kids scratched for TD’s.

It’s always been more important who you know and how loud your parent is more than how you play.

Story as old as time in DMV youth soccer.

I am hoping the day that someone takes care or interest of regulating youth sports. Adults in these leagues and clubs are abusing.

Like It’d be fair to read one of these days in these threads that a big lawsuit against ECNL is on its way, period.

For anyone invited to another session was it for 3/7 or 3/12? Both?

Boys or girls.

Boys had 3/4, 3/7 and 3/10.

3/7 was smaller group called back after 3/4 ID.

3/10 had new kids (first time being seen) and some on their 3rd session (seen 3/4, 3/7 & 3/10).

Girls which is why was asking about 3/12

This happens ALL the time especially when kids who are starters from other clubs tryout. Every year we have been at it at least 5-6 have gotten cut in favor of outside talent. Once a kid was moved up
RL and displaced a sub…

They will, yes. You can go to tryouts and be given an offer for the top team. You can accept that offer. Then they may move you down if they decide they like someone better.

A couple of years ago, 2 or 3 families from McLean 2012 G realized how awful their team was going to be after tryouts were over and offers accepted.

They asked Arlington if they could join their team. Arlington said yes. A corresponding number of Arlington girls were pushed down to the 2nd team to accommodate the former McLean girls.

Our coach did this, brought players from a club that partnered for one of the previous mergers, the team went from mediocre to worse . Yes, the previous year the team was 6th and after the merger the team went to be 8 or 9. It was expected that the club they were partnering with would help our team be better, 👎 nope.

It can't be true. I've read on here that the bad thing about Arlington is that they always keep the same girls on the top teams, due to the parents. And either no one is ever happy and untrue things are posted on this board, or one of these things is untrue.
