APS Half Days — for all that is sacred why not on Friday

While we’re at it, a lot of us would like longer spring or fall breaks to go on international vacations. Winter is spent with family and summer is too far away.

My school is being battered by student absences due to vacations. The school calendar should try to accommodate.

How valuable is this staff training? If it’s any like the training I go to at work, it’s useless.

That's what I hear from my teacher friends. But it is a day off of lesson planning and teaching, so they use it as a day to catch up a bit (when not in the mandatory training).
