Don’t tell me how to act in my aleé, darling. |
| I literally cannot handle his voice. It made it sooo hard to watch for me. His cattiness and pettiness made him extremely unlikable. |
| Diane Lane looks great though! |
That's actually from "Unanswered Prayers" - it's a big deal in the story. |
Have you watched clips of Capote IRL? The performance is spot on. |
Before this show, the only other thing I've seen her in was Bloodline. She was so good in that and was one of the reasons I wanted to check this show out. |
| I’m loving this show! I’m surprised at the bad reviews I’m seeing earlier on this thread. I think it’s very well done and fascinating to watch. |
| I liked the first two episodes, but the third is not holding my attention. |
Watch Big Love! Fantastic actress. |
She is a stunning woman and aging well. |
NP - yes, that is what he sounded like. They even had a clip of the real Capote at the start of the last episode. But is like nails on a chalkboard for me. I can't understand how these women (and their husbands) found him fun and charming. I don't think he is funny, he wasn't actually nice to them at all and his voice would drive my crazy to listen to. |
| he is so annoying |
Same. |
LOL! I loved that line and had to rewind it to hear it again. But white blond hair aside, Sevigny looks nothing like the real CZ Guest who was absolutely gorgeous. |
I mean, they went for big names over likenesses -- Diane Lane has a Slim Keith vibe but doesn't look like her, Molly Ringwald looks nothing like Joanne Carson, Calista Flockhart looks like Calista, not Lee Radziwell. Naomi Watts does wind up looking like Babe Paley but the hair is doing a LOT of work there. Though she's also just nailing some of the mannerisms and expressions. |
