| 25k Grinnell. Enough to draw DC (nervously, at first...then enthusiastically) to midwest. |
$80k savings is huge. With most privates now $85-90k. |
That's annual fyi, so 100k total |

This might be a little different - but the 4 year ROTC Scholarship. Very difficult to get. But does pay for all tuition, fees, books, and comes with a generous monthly stipend. DC got it and goes to an elite T20 private school. So far, that scholarship has paid out more than $250,000.
Of course, it comes with some strings attached. |
| 29k annual from GWU, 4.7 wgpa, 32 ACT, full IBDP |
| 30+ from PA SLAC, if she doesn’t get into instate choice she moved the small SLAC in Pa. |
| Loved |
| Wooster $43K, Allegheny $41K, Clark $30k - annual. |
$24? Nice. She can buy a couple of sandwiches. |
I didn’t realize Clark had merit at that level! Congrats to your DC! |

During this admission cycle, my child was offered:
University of South Florida: $44k (over 4 years or $11k per year) as an OOS University of South Carolina: $90k (at least over the course of 4 years - final amounts won't be known until later in the spring) as an OOS. We are still waiting on merit decisions from other schools as well. |
Meh, not enough to make GW worth it. They’ve always failed the bang for the buck test. |
For those interested, Grinnell now guarantees $20K/year to all successful domestic ED applicants. Very strong candidates might get more but the $20K is a nice promise. |
| Out of state kid with 29 ACT & 3.8 unweighted got merit from Florida State & Nebraska that made net price lower than in-state. |

Not relevant to many, but interesting to the few. Musician DC got 40% off total cost of attendance at one of the top conservatories in the country.
The interesting part is that DC was an indifferent student in everything other than music and never took a single honors or AP class, stopped math after graduation requirements were fulfilled and doubled-down on everything music related in and outside of school. Had fabulous auditions and glowing (music) recs. Used the Cal Newport "do a single thing better than anybody else" strategy (not strategically but because refused to do anything else), and had a great outcome. |
