My kid is currently in a magnet and it’s clear that no one there meets that criteria. They just took MAP and classmates scored very high.

My kid does in fact have an IEP but they also score well above the 99th percentile (national normed) on MAP, and has all As.

My IEP kid who attended all levels of magnets also scores 99th percentile on both reading and math. Nearly all As.

Lousy parenting if a 99% kid gets anything other than an A.

My 99% kid got a B one quarter a few years ago. Teacher gave only 9 assignments all quarter and several were group projects where the entire group got the same grade and my kid got assigned to groups with known behavior problems and kids well below grade level who confidently overrode my kid when he tried to respectfully beef up or correct their incorrect contributions. The few grades for non group projects were all 100 percent. Sometimes you just get screwed.
