I went to the Oakcrest open house last fall and found it very welcoming. The school is beautiful and it felt like a very warm environment. We are a mixed race family with one parent Catholic and the other not Christian at all, and we are politically moderate. We did not find the community to be extremely conservative. If the school wasn’t so far of a drive for us, we might have considered it more seriously.

Attend the lectures, start going to open houses early, and start doing camps young to familiarize with school and faculty. It's heaven on earth for boys, I hope you can get in!

OP, St Mary's waitlisted quite a few parishioners this year, so moving into their parish boundaries does not guarantee admittance.
