It’s not a waste of money to me. It’s one of the most enjoyable things I do with my money.

How do you know she doesn’t stay in places like residence inn or airbnbs that have kitchens, go to the grocery store and then cook for herself while traveling?

Stop giving terrible companies like Starbucks money. Coffee should be a few pennies

It's a convenience, like having a gardener or cleaner.

I don’t know. I’m just suggesting that we shouldn’t make assumptions.

I'm a poor who made it to UMC on minimum wage. I did not make it because I cut everything out. I am so tired of being told not to spend or how to spend. They really need to concentrate on teaching people how to invest. First small win would make anyone excited and a loss would teach a thing or two.
As a poor I had plenty of "friends", co-workers, acquaintances and family who all needed money and never paid back. That's what happens to a lot or poor people, because we are often surrounded by poor. Poor are too busy fighting for what's theirs, they are not thinking of growing what's theirs.
Also, at minimum, three of my former employer owe me/irs money and I suspect there are more than three. It is extremely hard to get out of poverty if I don't get paid for my work. And then I go and save $5 on a latte? I deserve a latte after being screwed over and over again.
Lots of minimum wage jobs don't have contracts or punch-in machines. Nobody ever paid overtime or had any meaningful benefits. There was time when training was unpaid in and meeting minimum wage not required or forced. I have had paychecks bounce with me ending up paying the fees. I think this all needs to stop way before we are telling people to stop spending coffee.
I remember when Netflix DVDs went from $7 to $11. Instead of recognizing that Netllix is about to take down Blockbuster and probably other companies, I took the advice of another guru and canceled the subscription to save $4. Not sure why the stupid books I read didn't tell me to recognize an opportunity and go for it be it investing the $300 I had.
Same with the stupid gurus telling me not to be the first investor of new technology like a new phone. I absolutely believe that almost every person who got the Iphone when it came out, went and bought some stock, and even several year later it was not too late.
I made a promise to myself that I am not to miss out on anything new coming up, because if I save any money, my "friends" and sure to find out and suddenly need some money. I'm rather throw it all st anything new coming out. One of them would stick I hoped, but several did.
I income is still low, but my investment account is not. What I've learned over the years investing and losing out on investments trumps my investment account. I could start from zero again and make it. It's not about not spending, it's about seeing how fast investments can grow. Sorry, me no English.

She probably has someone who cooks for her at home. No way is Suze cooking up a grilled cheese for dinner.

I myself have been fortunate to make bank and have feasted in many of the world’s finest eateries, and I can tell you that I do not begrudge myself one single poached lark’s tongue. It was all paid for.

Why do you write “the poors?” Why can you not just write “the poor?” Whenever I see someone use the term “the poors” I have a strong suspicion that they are a Grade A jackass.

If it was just one guy who was poor, I would indeed call him “the poor”.

Unfortunately there appear to be a whole bunch of them, hence “the poors”.

Grammar 101, much?

She's obviously backing a bag of sandwiches. She's not stupid!

Pity the poors, the stupids, and the ignoranty condescendings!

Go back to junior high and try again.

It wasn't the poached lark tongue that got you?

Seriously. It’s funny all the people on here putting her down and calling her stupid, as if their accomplishments are greater.
