Does anyone else get emotional about ‘municipal vehicles’?

I can relate, OP. It also warms my heart that dump truck drivers always hunk or otherwise make greetings when they see little kids looking at them, no matter where.

Our nuns told us the same thing at our Catholics School. So, I still do pray sometimes for the person inside. Or, if I am walking, I will stop for a second and reflect.

OPS I feel the same way about flying. It is amazing we can go to another state/country in a big metal bird.

Op - yes!
We flew a few days ago and my 7 year old said ‘it is amazing that you climb into the side of a big metal bird and sit in its belly and it can take you anywhere’
Is correct!

Op - yes and the fire stations have special hats for kids. When mine used to pass the fire station the firemen would always say hi to them - and wave even out of the window of a fire truck rushing to an emergency.

Eg when I see an ambulance (which is often) - I always feel like - wow. It’s amazing as a society that we have this little vehicle that rushes to someone’s aid. Even snow ploughs there is something very stirring about.

I absolutely feel this way! I get misty over it. School crossing guards and mail carriers too. When you stop to think about it, it’s amazing.

I am also moved by everything that goes into air travel. So many people working together in big and small ways so we can be connected and free.
