He was in Special Ed classes from K until 10th grade. He didn't excel until 11th grade when he scored 1580 on the SAT, 36 on ACT and was accepted to UVA. He wanted to prove to himself that he had what it takes to graduate early so he took summer classes to achieve that goal. He will be working for Apple in two months after taking time off to travel with his GF. He will attempt the GMAT exam in a few months. This proves that it is possible for a SN child to succeed if he/she works hard at it.

I am genuinely curious why your kid was in Special Ed classes until 10th grade? Was he misdiagnosed or something?

Congrats on the degree!

Please don't promote graduating early as an achievement. It doesn't "take" anything. It's not a race or a rush. The reward of education is in the quantity and quality, not the speed.

It takes a lot of hard work to graduate early. It saves both time and money. That’s why most people can’t do it.

Not PP, but you can save money (room & board and tuition) by taking extra classes every semesters.

OP said he took classes over the summer to graduate early, not extra classes each semester.
