yes, i know. i am am mcps teacher. it’s a calculated risk and one i’m willing to take vs having her take something from someone else again. |
This would be fantastic. Imagine this student im a restorative justice session apologizing to the community for the harm she caused by (checks notes) ingesting a Tylenol her mother gave her. Perhaps then people would finally see what a clown show MCPS has become. |

So much lower than the median for MCPS... |
Cool. You sound like you have some answers! Maybe you can help us parents out. My kid does not smoke week (as far as I know). However, she has complained that she will walk into the school bathroom and have to walk right back out because it smells so heavily of weed. This is during the school day. As a parent, how can I parent MY child to ensure that she has access to weed-free bathrooms at school? |
| *does not smoke weed |
Weed-free bathrooms are an aspect of white supremacy. |
my child has told me the same. we can’t sanitize the world for them. it is our job to prepare them for the world as it is and as it will be. i’ve told mine “wow, that is a shame. are there any non-smokey bathrooms? can you go when you’re out at lunch?” it’s not ideal, but that’s life. |
LMFAO. That is the most patronizing and gaslighting response to your child's question. How awful. |
Right? PP is preparing her kids for an equitable world where everything is crappy. |
Wait! I thought the white W schools had the most drugs! |
They do. Which is why PP is trolling you. |
As are all the other problems like off-task behavior on Chromebooks, gaming the 50% rule, and bigotry. |
most and best! |
No, mom. Actually, several of our high school bathrooms are closed completely because our school doesn’t have enough security staff. And our high school doesn’t have open lunch. Any other suggestions? |
