Of course.

Assuming this is sarcasm, why do you disagree?

I basically agree with this, although Sidwell always has an impressive number of NMSF and makes me think the school itself is somehow helps kids maximize their scores.

They don't.

I would think the kids would be happy to be acknowledged and congratulated.

You would think but you don’t know. The names are not relevant to the discussion so why include them?

Kids sign a release. If you don’t want your name mentioned, don’t take the PSAT.

Do you also think that the winner of the Scripps spelling bee should not be mentioned?

Give a break. Sounds like sour grapes on your part.

Children cannot give valid consent.

Does a 1520 guarantee inclusion? For next year?

I don't think it is sarcasm. I don't think anyone disagrees with that.

Do you understand that it is scaled to 1520? If you have a perfect score and meet the other selection criteria, why would you even ask this?

Sour grapes is right.

These kids aren't under 13. When they take the test, they agree to the NMSC privacy policy, which clearly states that they will publish your name and school if you are a semi-finalist.

If you don't like that, don't take the test.

Just get over the fact that your kid wasn't a semi-finalist.
