Do you make your kids go along for this kind of errand?

Usually they can stay home. Often I’ll ask them to do something while I’m gone. If nothing needs to be done, I’ll offer that I’m going to the grocery store and see if anyone wants to come. One will frequently come because they want something particular, like for their lunch that week but they don’t know exactly what so they browse.
