What is the History of Potomac, MD?

I haven't spent any time in Potomac, but I do watch Bravo. After catching a few episodes of Real Housewives of Potomac, I take it that Potomac is majority african american. Is that true?

Surely not. I'm actually curious about this also. We lived in Potomac for 3 years. Had absolutely no black neighbors, and didn't know any black people at all who lived in Potomac. So when I saw the Bravo show, I thought it was interesting!

Potomac stands for - Population of Tan or Mainly African Community.

Potomac is 6% black

I think land by the Potomac River was zoned into large lots for ecological reasons. It offers a good commute to D.C., and naturally attracted affluent families.
