Thank you for broad birthday invites

Grateful for those generous families who let me feel included! Also shoutout to the PTA moms who taught me how to roller skate at school events. There were some dud snobbish parents but I do appreciate all of ones who coached our teams and help run our clubs when my parents were just trying to figure out how to survive in America.

Also a child of immigrant parents. Other parents took me under their wing too, but they were my friends’ parents. One taught me how to use silverware. One spoke to teachers on my behalf when my non-English speaking parents couldn’t. One even threw me a sweet-sixteen party. I don’t see general class parents who didn’t help as duds or snobbish. They’re just people going about their lives.

What did you do as an activity? And was it indoors or out? We have only dropped off at 1 at home party and it looked hectic! But there were older siblings and looked like other family to help.

The first party was a spa party where they got their nails done. Second party we had Elsa come visit. Both were indoors only. The first party was chaos because it's impossible to corale that many kids, the second party was much better.
