We bought our house by including a "void only" inspection contingency. We weren't going to ask for repairs, but if we found something major, we had the right to walk. We were up against someone with a higher price but a regular inspection contingency and they accepted our offer. Fortunately, nothing major was found in the inspection. Of course, two years later, we've found a LOT of things...but an inspector wouldn't have found those. |
