+1 but I don’t clean mine with vinegar. |
| Get a Technivorm Moccamaster (preferably with stainless steel insulated carafe). It’s the best drip coffeemaker on the market. Though not inexpensive, it comes with a five year warranty. And even after the warranty expires they will still repair it for $59 or so if you send it back to them. When I sent my out of warranty Moccamaster in for a repair with the fee, they couldn’t fix it and so they just sent me a brand new one. |
| We have had the same Technivorm Moccamaster for 7 years. |
I AM that person. Love my Keurig. |
I think I’ve had two cuisinarts in the past 20 years. |
| I have a deLonghi from 13 years ago that I got as a wedding gift. I will use it til it breaks. My husband got me a random mr coffee a couple years ago for Christmas because I guess he thought why not replace a nice working coffee machine with an inferior one (??) but I agree with you, coffee brewed in it tastes weird and plastic-y. If my deLonghi ever breaks I will either do a French press or a higher end pot- the cheap ones make gross coffee |
Descale your machine or get a water softener Y'all are SO WASTEFUL. Throwing huge hunks of plastic into the landfill every year. I can't believe it. Use everything- cars, TVs, appliances until they are irreparable. Fix them when broken. Our disposal culture is what is broken. |
| I have a 13 year old cuisinart drip maker. I descale with vinegar every year. |

We only use Brita water for the coffeemaker bc Fairfax Co water is so hard. Start there Op.
Def affects coffee taste and ginking up the coffee maker. |
