Small ways to save money for a month?

Three weeks isn't a long time. While you've received some advice on here, if the goal is just to ride out the three weeks without spending much money and not interested in a temp job, the easy answer is Just Don't Do Anything.

Spend your days walking, reading, making simple rice/beans/pasta meals. Don't go out, don't order out, don't shop. Just don't do anything. Think of it as a sanity break. Heck, the more I think about it, the more I realize I need one too!

Don't buy bottled water, drink from the tap.

If I could do this, and if DH could eliminate beer, we'd clear $200-$300 a month.

You can still save a lot by making drip coffee at home instead of making the morning stop at Starbucks on the drive to work.

Do people really go to Starbucks every day? Seems crazy.

If you have a gym membership you may be able to pause it for a month.

NP here. Pause any membership you can (gym, Netflix, other streaming service, peloton, etc).

For me, the biggest impact would be not taking my girls clothes shopping. They have plenty, and not eating out.

Things I already do:
Walk to work (or wherever). Dont pay for parking or gas (or tickets)

Go vegetarian. I dont do this, but if i were serious: Download grocery store app and buy only specials.clip coupons.

Eat pbj sandwiches for lunch, beans and rice (or similar) for dinner. Make a big pot of soup. Eat for a few days. Make your own bread or skip it altogether.

Cancel gym membership and lift weights at home, do an online workout or just walk/run.

Instead if buying starbucks coffee, get instant starbucks coffee powder. A little goes a long way (it’s very strong). I prefer it to store brewed.

I have to have internet and phone, but I can and have already cut my streaming services for the month. I don’t know what else I can do, other than not eating out, going out, etc., that will help. So I guess I’m looking for small changes I could make.

Get a side hustle, anything from a professional gig or delivering pizza, tutoring, baby or elder sitting, Uber driving, day labor etc can work. Ask friends and family if anyone needs any chores or repairs or painting done.
