Any insight regarding Eastern Middle school Magnet Program ?

Class discussion just isn't a big deal. We all went to school, and many of us went to college; we remember that discussion is not the important part.

It’s a huge deal at Eastern. It’s like the difference between sitting in a 500 seat lecture and getting to discuss research in a 22 person senior seminar.

+1. Our DC also thought discussion was a huge positive at Eastern. Discussion isn’t the important part when the cohort of students is average to good. But discussion when the cohort of students (like at Eastern) is so strong - well my own DC said she learned as much from other students as the teacher.

I could see that it’s a 50/50 pros/cons of sending your child to Eastern.
