I have a real disability. Pregnancy is not a disability. |
Disabled parking means that the disabled person MUST be in the vehicle. Your husband was not disabled. Too bad he didn't get a $500 ticket. |
You think her husband was going to the OBGYN alone? |
I was in the car when he picked me up, dropped me off, and drove me there. Why is that hard for you to understand? He wasn't using it at any other time. |
They still have them and when handicapped spots are filled, I have no qualms parking in either the storm ir veterans spot. I need a walker and my handicap is a lot worse than you pregnancy. |
Anyone can do stk in them as unlike handicapped parking, there is no fine. |
The handicapped spots are for handicapped people who either drive or need a driver. This is not nuclear physics. |
| I can't believe the poster who said that some women give birth while working in fields in 100+ degree heat without taking a break from harvesting or whatever as though this somehow justifies pregnant women being denied comfort. Just because our foremothers suffered terribly and many people still live in horrid conditions is not an excuse to justify yet more suffering. |
A lot of people heed the signs. A Covid holdover is adding so many spots for take out and curbside pickup. I always see those spots empty in parking lots. |
There are no laws around those spots. Park there whenever you want. |
Providing a pregnant woman “comfort” is not a reason to provide a disability placard. |
| i'd get it, there are so many open handicap spaces its a big waste might as well use them |
My favorite part is how they claim they “can’t” walk from a further parking space — but they can walk all around the store to shop just fine.
