Judge Lewis Kaplan rules that a Jury found that Trump RAPED E. Jean Carroll as the word 'RAPE' is commonly used

Oh, it’s still unacceptable for a Dem. It’s only the GOP that behaves like this.

It is a big deal. The millions of Americans that have been victimized by rape or sexual assault (or that know someone who has, which is likely almost everyone) should vote accordingly.

This should move the dial with independents in swing states, especially women. Both Roe v Wade and this rape finding together should sway more and more against Trump and the GOP.

Truth is beautiful.

Sure but there are plenty of sexual assaults in Blue and Red and Swing states. None of these states should be electing a rapist to the white house. Have some respect for this country.

Decency is not something that MAGA is known for.

Looks like the rape apologists and defenders have crawled back into their holes to strategize how they'll respond to this. Can't wait for which delusional excuse they'll choose next.

Gratitude to Judge Kaplan for enforcing the law in NY. The ruling sets a precedent for all victims. Gratitude to E. Jean Carroll for her strength, composure, and fight for justice.

"The finding that Ms. Carroll failed to prove that she was 'raped' within the meaning of the New York Penal Law does not mean that she failed to prove that Mr. Trump 'raped' her as many people commonly understand the word 'rape.' Indeed, as the evidence at trial recounted below makes clear, the jury found that Mr. Trump in fact did exactly that." Judge Kaplan.

And a NY win for Bragg: Trump hush money case will remain in New York State. Judge Hellerstein ruled against moving Trump’s first criminal case to federal court. https://www.nytimes.com/2023/07/19/nyregion/trump-hush-money-case-court.html

Don’t mess with NY! We made Epstein off himself, imprisoned his side piece, muffled MTG, and made Gaetz cry while running them out of town. Let’s go Georgia, rooting for you!

There are voters who think being a Democrat is worse than being a rapist. Let that sink in. To them, a known rapist who is a Republican is preferable to any Democrat.

Well for the republicans and independents that are not lost causes then. Do not insult this nation by electing a rapist to a position of power over us and our children.

Hoping he gets everything he deserves as a rapist when he gets to prison. Just like his buddy Jeffrey.

Now anyone can call Trump a rapist and have zero fear of being sued for defamation.

That floodgate just opened and now anyone can say it, print it in ads, shout it from rooftops, put it on billboards, and Trump can't do anything about it because it is true, as per Judge Lewis Kaplan's ruling today.

He'll be beaten to a pulp, just like anyone who steps up to defend him. Your turn clowns.

We should have known then. Took 7 years to get official confirmation.

I'm confused. The reports at the time was that the jury did not conclude rape. Was this a talking point from the Trump team, or did Jean Carroll make a claim of rape as defined under New York law that the jury disagreed?

The jury in the federal trial concluded that Trump digitally penetrating E. Jean Carroll did not meet the NY Penal Laws definition of rape.

Yesterday, the federal judge in that case ruled that the jury did find that Trump committed RAPE as the term RAPE is commonly used. Therefore Trump was found to be a RAPIST in his federal trial, just not under the NY legal statute.
