I often see the people stocking the shelves with ear buds in – if they’re allowed to do it while working why shouldn’t you be able to do it while shopping? |
I have no issue if other people were AirPods. I do have issue with people who are not self aware enough to know they are blocking lanes. I would get closer to get your attention and speak very loudly. |
Thanks Busybody! |
I wear them until checkout unless it’s self checkout. |
Do whatever you want |
OMG boomers are just so painful. |
I wear mine in the store but if I need to interact with someone (meat counter, check out) I take them out. Yes, you can pause them but I think it's nicer to take them out. I think the other lady was rude. You're fine. |
😂 Glad that you can laugh at yourself OP! Very refreshing since many people on here get offended so easy! |
Spouse and I have taken to wearing sunglasses indoors as a way to thank our veterans and first responders. You would not believe how many people (probably liberals) have a problem with this. They were fine with people wearing masks but wear sunglasses indoors (or outdoors at night) and suddenly it's not ok. We were recently asked to leave a Red Lobster for taking off our sunglasses and when the manager said why did we insist on wearing them we said it was because "it's dark in here." We asked for our money back but they then said we hadn't ordered anything so we left. We will not be back. |
Jokes on that old lady - my mom’s iPhone goes directly to her hearing aids. No need for air pods. |
When you wear air buds, you force the people around you to accommodate you because you are not working with all of your senses, for example, if someone is trying to say “excuse me” because you are blocking something, or if they need you to move your cart, etc. I know it’s something people do, but I think it’s kind of obnoxious.
I was once at a store and a man had air buds in and was pushing a flatbed cart stacked with small trees. Not only could he not see where he was going, but he couldn’t hear, either. He nearly ran me over until I yelled and waved my arms at him. The yelling didn’t do the trick, since he had his ear buds in. |
