How often do you cook dinner?

My kids are super picky but I can make a big batch of something like mac and cheese and they can eat that for a couple of days for dinner and I just add sides to it from what we adults are having.

I pretty much follow this. Cooking or leftovers 5 nights, order in or restaurant 2 nights.

I got into a rut where we were eating out way too often, but it felt overwhelming to go straight back to cooking 5-6 nights a week, so as an interim step, I started ordering meals from Home Chef for 3 nights a week. We’ve been enjoying their meals and I only have to meal plan, grocery shop and prep for 2-3 nights per week. It’s really helped me get back into the habit of cooking.

On average I cook 2-3 nights/week, we go out or get takeout twice (sometimes it's solo - like me meeting a girlfriend for dinner), Sunday is family dinner (usually at my mother's or another night I cook) and at least one night is leftovers.

I cook every weeknight. Simple dishes like salmon in parchment served with rice and vegetables, taco or baked potato bar, burgers with all the fixings, and also easy versions of Indian and Chinese dishes.
On weekends we just go with the flow. Sometimes I cook or we eat out or get takeout.

Real home-cooked dinner 4-6 days per week, 1 night takeout, maybe 1-2 times per month we do an easy frozen-type dinner (pizza and a bag salad sort of thing)
