I know one of the valedictorians also got into multiple other impressive schools (where they were not a legacy). Could be true of the others too. |

Please do. You can brag about it. Who knows the Vals will not flame out in college? But lets celebrate while we can. |

| At our tiny private school we had a surprisingly great year. 6 to ivies total. Valedictorian going to Duke after getting into 3 other ivies. Salutatorian to Harvard also in at Yale. |
Ok OP or PP, you’re pretty obnoxious. Best of luck to the OPs kid, I hope it all works out for her. |
Neither does MCPS. |
| Top two kids at our DC charter school are: Princeton (fully pay) and a large state university (full scholarship). |
I'm the PP with the 11th grader. Just seen this thread within a thread. The fact that someone bothered to speak to their kid about this should astonish me, but then it is DC urban-crazy-moms. |
But your comment is not “DC urban-crazy”? The fact that you came onto This thread to offer that you will report back in two years when your DD is valedictorian is NOT crazy? That comment is in fact somehow valuable to the OP in some way? We’ve got some really interesting newbies in this forum nowadays. Best of luck to you. |
I think I sometimes forget how little good will there is around here. I've been on DCUM since 2014 and expect once my kids have their college acceptances, I won't be back. Enjoy your vitriol. |
